Originally started as a set of "ficlets" about Jai, a secondary character in the Fish Out of Water universe, this became the story of gentle giant, Jai, and his sweet little nurse, George. A "thread the needle" book, Under the Stars covers the behind the scenes action of an ex-mobster and a reformed party boy who strive to make their little corner of the desert a better place to be, and to take care of the people who work hard at protecting their makeshift family.
