Jeannette Marie is an emerging author of todays fiction. Having a flare for creating short stories and poems when she was a child, Jeannette is now turning her dreams of fiction authorship into a reality. In her new novel, Suburban Desires and short story, The Guest who Stayed for Dinner, coming out in late 2018. Jeannette enjoys taking relatable characters and guiding their experiences to literary fruition. Bringing to life dynamic relationships between sometimes complicated, loving family and enduring friendships. A blend of humor, heartfelt emotion and erotic stories at times, readers find themselves one minute shedding a tear and the next, laughing in joy. Jeannette's professional writing career peaked in 2006 when she curiously began the journey in the nonprofit sector, authoring grant proposals as an assistant to the fund developer at an organization that acclimatized foreign-born citizens to the U.S. The opportunity provided a chance to learn the 'ins and outs' of fund development. Winning grants at notable foundations such as The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and local non-profits, she managed and secured public and private grants through government entities, researched demographic, corporate, foundation, state, county and city funding sources, while identifying funding opportunities and new program areas. Jeannette believes it is her purpose in life to help others and be of service. By doing so her involvement as an AmeriCorps Alum and volunteering at local nonprofit organizations feeds her spirit. She enjoys cooking and is known as a great baker among family and friends. A home improvement enthusiast, Jeannette has taken on home projects that beautify her home, she likes watching HGTV and DIY Networks. It seems like music is in her blood that she cannot function without it. Next to music is dancing, learning salsa, belly dancing and ballroom dancing are on her to do list.
