Bio

I'm an English multi-genre novelist and short-story writer, living on the misty Yorkshire coast, knee-deep in history and surrounded by ghosts. I'm the published author of 70+ short stories covering a wide range of genres, plus novels and novellas, three series and numerous stand-alone how-to articles for the writing press, all culminating in a non-fiction guide 'Reading A Writer's Mind'.

I prefer atmosphere to gore, history to present-day, and am not aversed to the odd bit of humour in my fiction. Or Murder. Or Romance. Or Science Fiction. Well, just about everything has its place, wouldn't you say?

Beneath The Shining Mountains (Sample)

Moon Hawk is playing a dangerous game. Her heart is set on Winter Man, but why would a man with so many lovers want to take a wife?

Challenging his virility captures Winter Man’s attention but, in a village of skin tipis where every word is overheard, their escalating game of tease and spar soon spirals beyond control threatening Moon Hawk and her family with ridicule and shame.

From buffalo hunting to horse raiding to wife-stealing festivals, this is a story of honour among rival warrior societies, and one woman's determination to wed the man of her dreams.
