Bio
This is about as ugly as I get! My name is Derek Hibbert and since school my primary income has been from photography only I have far too many books around not to change horses, even if it does seem like it is midstream in a swollen river. If you want to Google me more images come up than I could shake a stick at, not that I understand what that means. If I said I was 45 years old I would be lying but it could be described as poetic licence which you cannot get away with these days as there is too much info on places like Facebook. I have written over 35 novels, loads of shorter works and even the odd photography tome. I like to think I have some talent but the final decision is down to the individual. I write in a variety of genre, science fiction, crime, supernatural crime and horror. I was once told by a Time/Warner editor that horror was my forte and I had more talent than various published authors, only without a name in the public arena I hadn't a hope in hell of getting mainstream, which is why I stuck with photography for so long.Everything I have written isn't on my website, some of my earlier efforts need a dose of Viagra. Still, what is there has sample pages to get the basic flavour. We all have our own style, personally I don't like to waffle too much, which sometimes means the pace picks up. When the going gets tough the tough can't find a place where they can put the book down, sorry. I leave the characters open enough for the readers to be able to imagine themselves into the story, after all who cares if the waitress on page 134 has blue toenails if she is wearing socks and gets shot after three minutes.

Motive - a teaser
When Jeanette Avery is found blue and lifeless in her bedroom it wasn't clear whether it was an accidental death or murder. As events develop the police gradually put the pieces together, only even though they seem to fit perfectly most of them keep falling out repeatedly. When a familiar name crops up things take a turn for the worse, and then some, still life isn't meant to be easy. This is about determining motive, unravelling lies and making sure you haven't missed anything, obvious or otherwise. If you can get to the truth faster that DCI Blake perhaps you need a career in law enforcement.
Contemplating Immortality
Jack's life was something of a rollercoaster, only there were some strange anomalies, like he seemed to survive the most horrific accidents and even serious suicide attempts. Almost as though he was immortal, even though the injuries still caused him pain. As he sought for answers he began to wonder just who or what was lurking just beyond the boundary to life. Even if he was involved in a supernatural game, if so there were some mean b'sterds out there.
The Blair Wasp Project
I have heard it said that some people are born evil while others struggle to attain the state. I will leave you to decide how many people you know who fall into the first category. Serious problems arise when these people are in a position of power, I can think of a couple on the African continent who have virtually made tyranny into an art form. Only you don’t need to have a name like Pol Pot to stand out from a crowd. Only this is about a single man who was given the opportunity to stride further than the boundaries of our own planet. Just think, the first human to visit another planet, incredible. Only the impression he created was not one to put a smile on alien faces. In fact it wasn’t long before they had trouble deciding who they needed to fear the most, Blair or the Devil himself.
The Wolf Chronicles - 1
Wolf was out in the wilds trying to make sense of his life when he was given the opportunity for extreme change, if he decided to make it. We may all have dreams, only very little of what was going to happen to Wolf would ever have featured, the content was far too extreme, he just had to run with the ball and hope he still had his own at the end of each day.
