Bio

SA McNeill is a science fiction & fantasy author and a people of color writing stories about people of color. Growing up in southern NY, she read voraciously, but there was always something missing. Stories that featured aliens and elves, orcs and monsters were devoid of people of color–and don’t even get her started on the idea of them as main characters! She’s never fit into the female protagonist cookie cutter in any way, shape or form, and neither did any of the other people she knew, yet these characters kept occurring book after book. Then, she discovered Octavia Butler and realized something had to be done.

Now, SA is writing and publishing the types of stories she wants to read with the hope that maybe, she can provide others in her position with something they can relate with.

She can be found online, trying to make a dollar out of 15 cents, on various forms of social media.
