A science fiction writer, poet, firefighter, and engineer on her way to eccentric old woman.
I write science fiction novels and science-inspired poetry, and serve as a volunteer firefighter. I'm also a retired engineer and Cold War Warrior (honestly, that's what Congress called us) because I worked in America's nuclear weapons complex. Now living on the edge of southwest America's Gila National Forest with my husband, cats, llamas, and dog, I'm well on my way to achieving my life-goal of becoming an eccentric old woman.

Glory on Mars Colonization Book 1
Something is terribly wrong on Mars. A strange illness threatens the first pioneers and tragic deaths may be no accident. With no way back to Earth, Emma and her friends struggle to survive on the deadly Red Planet.
Emma has doubts before leaving Earth, but her team is ready to launch and she can't back out. If the settlers already on Mars sound oddly hostile, perhaps that's from the shock of the colony's psychologist walking out an airlock to her death.
Experts on Earth have no answers for the threats they face. No more missions will be sent if the settlers fail to secure a foothold. Emma may have joined the last humans on Mars.
This is a long, 13 chapter preview. If you have trouble getting the digital file you want from Instafreebie, please contact me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org
