Bio

Dr. Paul Young, a former Evangelical Protestant pastor, and leader has been a Catholic since 1999. While a Protestant, he helped grow one of the largest high school youth programs in the nation, a group numbering 400 wild, exciting and responsive kids.

He then moved to Fort Worth, Texas where he became pastor of a small church of around 200. Within nine years it became one of the largest churches in the Dallas Fort Worth area, with thousands coming to worship God. Over 50% of the growth were new converts who came into a living relationship with Jesus Christ.

From there, Dr. Young became CEO of CBS International (Community Bible Study), an in-depth bible study movement that grew from a few countries to over 60 countries in the world with thousands of people studying the Holy Scriptures in over 40 languages. It was during this ministry, traveling the world, that Dr. Young became Catholic. You can read his conversion story in the companion guide to the novel he wrote, Once Divided.

Dr. Young has planted over 90 churches throughout the world, seen over 100,000 conversions, and impacted many men and women to follow Christ. As a Catholic, he helped begin the men’s ministry with Emmaus Journey, wrote Reaching Catholic Men, and now helps lead the IMPACTMAN and IMPACTWOMAN movement.

All the things accomplished by Dr. Young have only been through the strength, power, and grace of God. Without Christ, Paul could have done nothing…period!

He is married to his wife and great friend, Diane. They have 5 children and 14 grandchildren. Paul and Diane lived in Santa Rosa, California for a number of years, working with their Church and Diocese and have recently moved to Freeland, WA, on Whidbey Island, to be close to their son and family.

Dr. Young has been an IMPACT man most of his adult life beginning at age 15 when he started a movement on his high school campus to reach his fellow students. Soon a group of 30 grew to over 120, and a number of his buddies met around the flagpole to pray each morning before classes began.

From that day to today, Paul’s drive to impact men and women has not abated.
