BioTara Lain believes in happy ever afters - and magic. Same thing. In fact, she says, she doesn't believe, she knows. Tara shares this passion in her stories that star her unique, charismatic heroes and adventurous heroines. Quarterbacks and cops, werewolves and witches, blue collar or billionaires, Tara's characters, readers say, love deeply, resolve seemingly insurmountable differences, and ultimately live their lives authentically.
I always enjoy Tara Lain's books and especially her Balls to the Walls series. This is a fun addition with a pudgy doctor who doesn't know his own worth and a hunky trainer. I enjoyed seeing the bad boyfriend get kicked to the curb and Zach learn to value himself--and find a much better fit. Recommended to all lovers sweet and sassy light romance.
Zach is on an unexpected journey to discover who he really is and what (or who) he really deserves. If you love sweet romance and the opposites attract trope as much as I do, this is the story for you! Tara Lain's Medicine Balls is proof that beauty is so much more than skin deep, and true love will find you, even when you think you're not looking for it.
Tara is an auto-buy for me. Winter Balls is charming, dear, and feel-good, all the way.

Trex or Treat
Josh Harris is all dad all the time. A busy college professor and devoted single father, Josh tries to be happy with only his son for company. But then Bradley “Trex” Trexler moves in across the street with his stepbrother, Bogo, and takes advantage of their empty home, making it into a haunted house for Halloween.
Josh’s son, Ernie, can’t wait to go, so Josh dresses up like a movie cowboy and saunters over. It’ll be the best Halloween of Ernie’s life, but there’s another sharpshooter roaming the dark corridors, and this one might have a special treat for Josh….
What if the “old guy” who lives next door turns out to be Prince Charming?
Cas Rhodes has told everyone he knows that his boyfriend Ronnie’s taking him to the Winter Ball, the biggest gay community event in Southern California.
But Ronnie’s a scumbag, and one right hook later, Cas gains a reputation as the Starbucks Marauder—and loses his date.
When Ronnie shows up for more scumbaggery, it’s Cas’s “old-guy” neighbor, Pops, who comes to the rescue.
Pretty fast, Cas learns to value people over stuff—and to look under the funny hat, uncut beard, and scruffy clothes.
Face it. Sometimes heroes wear baggy khakis.
WINTER BALLS is an age gap, don’t-judge-a-hero-by-his-khakis, right-hook, MM romance—with a lot of pansies.
