Coll sparkles with liveliness and sass, and captivated me with his attempts to be sober-acting at an important diplomatic dinner, despite being immediately and deeply smitten with the senior officer Eizen. And Eizen tried hard to restrain himself with Coll, when that was the last thing he wanted! They faced danger and drama in the snow which brought them even closer, with no time to be anything but honest with each other. Refreshing to read an SF romance, and I loved the idea of the Ship’s Heart combining human and science.
This tale will transport you to a distant, vividly imagined world, where you'll cheer on sweet, sarcastic Coll and honorable, attentive Eizen as they navigate the obstacles that stand between their attraction to one another. I enjoyed it so much.
